STARTER CALIBRATIONS
One of the biggest challenges for new tuners is knowing where to start. If you have a stock ECU calibration and need help getting your initial setup, we can help. Superchargers, turbos, stroker kits, or larger cams usually need specific updates to allow you to begin working safely. Our Starter file service gets you much closer and can help prevent costly failures. Custom operating systems are almost never required.
SCALING FOR LIMITS
Many ECUs are limited in how high they can count when it comes to airflow, air per cylinder, or fuel injector flow rates. The proper solution in these cases is to perform a scaling exercise (as shown in our GM Advanced training videos). This task requires the tuner to make a large series of adjustments all at the same time to preserve normal function of the engine and transmission. We can do that for you to save time and get it done right.
SET UP FOR DYNO TUNING
If you’ve seen our training videos or been to a live event, you understand the value of properly setting the ECU up for specific data collection modes. Tuning for forced MAF or speed density is done by proper calibration value setup. this is often incorporated as part of the starter calibration file generation, but can be done at any time as needed.
CALIBRATION UPDATES
After you initial file is created and some data logging has been done, it can be confusing to sift through the data to get just the right adjustments. Instead of blindly pasting lambda errors on a MAF curve or VE surface, we carefully examine the recorded data and make corrections that result in a smooth and progressive set of calibration values that are more likely to deliver consistent response in the vehicle.
